Built in 1938 in the Art Moderne style, the three-story, 118,000-square-foot Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Peoria, Ill., features terrazzo floors, marble clad walls, decoratively painted ceilings, and a limestone and granite exterior.

The U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois is the major tenant, and the courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
