GSA Hosts Senator for Federal Building Renaming 

CHEYENNE, Wyo. ㅡ On Thursday, October 27, 2022, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) will host a renaming ceremony starting at 1 p.m. for the federal building here at 308 W 21st Street featuring Senator Cynthia Lummis. Other speakers include Leigh Ann Bunetta from GSA and Mary Mountain from the Louisa Swain Foundation 

The event will highlight the building's name change to the Louisa Swain Federal Office Building. Swain was the first woman in the U.S. to cast her vote in a general election on September 6, 1870 in Laramie, WY. Sen. Lummis sponsored the bill that was made into law on May 10, 2022 renaming the building.

Attending media should park in the parking lot to the rear of the federal building, the entrance to that lot is off Pioneer Ave, north of 21st Street or at the US Bank parking lot off Carey Ave. south of 21st St.
