GSA Lead Contract Specialist Charla Ford said for a few of the companies, this is the first time being awarded a government contract.

GSA Region 6 has once again put small business first by setting up contracting vehicles to repeatedly do business with architecture-engineering firms in four geographic regions.

The small businesses GSA awarded contracts to included five women-owned small businesses:

Lead Contract Specialist Charla Ford said these contract awards help small businesses grow financially and become more agile in government acquisitions.

GSA estimated the value of the contracts to be from $1,000 to $3,000,000 annually with a maximum order limit of $25,000,000 over up to five years.

Energizing small businesses is one of our most important priorities,” she said.

GSA’s Heartland Region Public Buildings Service employees worked 100% virtually to evaluate upwards of 55 technical proposals.

Nearly every division within the regional PBS office worked together on it: Portfolio Division’s Client Solutions Branch, Acquisition Management Division, Design and Construction Division and Facilities Management Division.

With each A/E acquisition, we get better together,” Ford said.
