What was your career journey, to where you are now?
I worked for over 13 years in the banking industry, mostly in management. A little over a year ago, I started my career in the (general schedule) realm working as an HR Assistant for an overseas medical command. After graduating college I applied for the recent graduate program with GSA. I am grateful to be where I am today and look forward to being part of the GSA team for years to come.
What other federal government or military experience have you had and for how long?
I have been a military spouse for 15 years. My husband is still in the Army at this time. We are currently stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. A little over a year ago I was fortunate enough to start working as an HR Assistant for Dental Health Activity-Italy.
What is your alma mater, degree or special training?
I have a bachelor’s in operations management and analysis, and a minor in accounting from the University of Arizona Global Campus.
What is your biggest professional or personal accomplishment?
Finishing my degree and getting hired with GSA.
How do you recharge your batteries outside of work?
I love the outdoors and to just be outside. Anything from camping, hiking, biking, and more really allows me to unwind —also being able to do those activities with my family.
Tell us a little about yourself. Children? Pets? Married? Hobbies?
I am married to my husband, Brandon. We have two little boys, Banner (4) and Kohen (1). My hobbies include the gym and all outdoor activities. I also love to read a good book, cook, and do DIY projects.
What three words best describe your personality?
Loyal, outgoing, and positive
What is one of the items on your bucket list?
My bucket list consists mostly of traveling to as many places as possible. I have been to a lot and look forward to checking more off the list. My top places right now would be Iceland, Ireland, and Thailand.
What characteristic or value do you most admire in others?
Honesty
What is your unique talent, skill or gift?
This is a tough one. I am honestly not sure. I tend to be pretty decent at most sports, and I can get pretty crafty.
Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself?
I am just really happy to be a member of GSA and look forward to the growth and knowledge that is headed my way.
