GSA and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) are helping federal agencies boost their electric vehicle charging station projects and speed up their fleet electrification efforts. We’re offering joint training sessions starting August 5. Agencies can register to attend live sessions or access the training materials later.

EVSE Empower Week sessions will cover important information, such as:

  • GSA Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) offerings and considerations.
  • Frequently asked questions about EVSE.
  • Public charging and payment options.
  • Site planning.
  • EVSE/ZEV reporting.

EVSE Empower Week 2024 builds on last year’s successful two-day virtual event on electric vehicle charging that hosted more than 774 participants from 40 agencies. Training and virtual networking included suppliers and lessons about implementing charging stations from experts and other agencies.

As the agency charged with overseeing the federal fleet, GSA provides our federal partners with the necessary vehicles, infrastructure, and specialized training on electrification. Our goal is to support the federal government in switching to an all-electric fleet by helping with the transition, sharing best practices, and highlighting agency successes.
