Pride flag will fly at Kansas City federal building all month
KANSAS CITY, MO. — GSA Acting Regional Administrator Mary Ruwwe raised a rainbow Progress Pride flag at the Richard Bolling Federal Building June 1 to honor Pride Month and show support to the LGBTQ+ community it represents.
“This flag represents much more than a lifestyle or one community, it represents freedom. It represents making choices without fear,” Ruwwe said. “It’s important for us to let people know that all are welcome here in Kansas City’s federal community, regardless of how you identify or who you love.”
The flag will fly at the federal office building throughout the month of June.
