GSA announces new political appointee Rachel Davis as Press Secretary

WASHINGTON — The U.S. The General Services Administration (GSA) announced the appointment of Rachel Davis as Press Secretary starting this week. 

Davis recently served as the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer for the City of San Jose, Mayor Matt Mahan, and former Mayor Sam Liccardo. In her role, she functioned as the public information officer for local, state, and national press. Prior to that, she served as council assistant in the office of Vice Mayor Charles “Chappie” Jones. A graduate of San Jose State University, Davis brings a wealth of multi-sector experience in government communications and media relations.
