GSA Awards 81 Companies Alliant 2 Small Business IT Contract

10-year, $15 billion contract provides agencies with comprehensive mission-critical information technology services

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced the award of its 10-year, $15 billion Alliant 2 Small Business (A2SB) Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) to 81 small businesses. The A2SB GWAC is a Multiple Award, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide customized Information Technology (IT) services and IT services-based solutions to the government.

A2SB gives federal agencies access to small businesses providing integrated IT solutions for current and evolving needs. Further, A2SB allows for the application of technology to meet business goals including the ability to stay on the forefront of emerging IT services. “The award of the Alliant 2 Small Business contract is a major milestone that demonstrates GSA’s continuing commitment to small business and to providing federal agencies with the IT solutions they need to fulfill their critical missions,” said GSA Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Alan B. Thomas. “As IT modernization takes center stage in the Administration’s drive to create a more efficient and effective government, GSA’s Alliant contracts will continue to be an important tool for agencies looking to enhance and improve their IT operations in service of American taxpayers.”

The A2SB contract has already earned “best-in-class” status from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and is the successor to the first-generation GSA GWAC, Alliant Small Business. A2SB demonstrates GSA’s commitment to supporting the small business community, while helping federal agencies achieve their socio-economic goals and objectives. The A2SB contract aggregates custom IT providers on one full-range vehicle to meet the evolving needs of federal agencies.

“The new Alliant contracts are the culmination of extensive collaboration between GSA, federal agencies, and industry,” said Assistant Commissioner, GSA Office of Information Technology Category Kay Ely. “These partnerships have been in place for years and have provided GSA with valuable feedback that helped build and refine the next-generation Alliant program — ensuring that we deliver precisely what agencies want and need. These solutions provide a solid foundation to address growing needs to modernize the government’s IT infrastructure, implement leading-edge technology solutions, and enable improved service to our citizens.”
