GSA Awards Next Generation Maintenance Repair Facility Supplies Solution

WASHINGTON - The U.S. General Services Administration has awarded the first 30 Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) on its next generation Maintenance Repair Facility Supplies (MRFS) purchasing channel, further streamlining the acquisition of maintenance, repair, janitorial, and sanitation products governmentwide. The MRFS Purchasing Channel combines GSA's Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) and the Janitorial and Sanitation (JanSan) Purchasing Channels into one program. The BPAs awarded under Multiple Awards Schedules 51V, 73, and 75, are designed to help federal agencies purchase maintenance supplies at best value prices.

"MRFS is smart one-stop shopping that saves taxpayer dollars, helps agency budgets, and supports our small business partners," explained GSA Heartland Regional Commissioner and Category Manager for Facilities and Construction Mary Ruwwe. "Combining these two commodity classes into one solution doesn't just make things more convenient for buyers, it also reduces the administrative burden for MRO and JanSan contractors, too. Another plus for agencies: The MRFS BPAs make it easier to comply with all federal acquisition policies and regulations."

These BPAs leverage the entire federal government's purchasing power, harnessing it for better pricing and reducing the total cost of ownership. Spend data is provided to our customers upon request.

The MRFS solutions simplify agency acquisitions by offering Trade Agreement Act and Berry Amendment compliant products with sustainable features including WaterSense and Energy Star certification. The contractor pools meet mandated diverse socio-economic requirements and are AbilityOne authorized distributors.
