Joyce C. Haas Named Regional Administrator of GSA's Mid-Atlantic Region
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) today announced the appointment of Joyce C. Haas to serve as the Regional Administrator of GSA’s Mid-Atlantic Region, effective February 20, 2018.
The Mid-Atlantic Region oversees all GSA operations in Delaware, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and portions of Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey, including management of federal real estate and information technology. The region is also responsible for an inventory of approximately 800 government-owned or leased buildings and nearly 600 employees.
“I’m very pleased to welcome Joyce to the GSA leadership team in the Mid-Atlantic Region,” said GSA Administrator Emily Murphy. “Her leadership experience and business background will be invaluable as we continue our focus on providing ethical leadership, reducing duplication, increasing competition and improving agency transparency.”
Haas comes to GSA with strong leadership experience and a background in contracting and real estate. She served as the Vice Chair of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania from 2006 to 2017, where she managed a staff of more than 100 people. Previously, she worked with Ford Motor Company and U.S. Airways. She also served as a Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission Board Member, appointed by Governor Tom Corbett.
Haas received a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania.
