Scott Anderson Named Regional Administrator of GSA’s National Capital Region

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) today announced the appointment of Scott Anderson to serve as the regional administrator of GSA’s National Capital Region, effective January 2, 2018.

As the National Capital Regional Administrator, Anderson will oversee all of GSA’s operations in the Washington, D.C. metro area, including management of federal real estate and information technology. 

“I’m very pleased to welcome Scott to the GSA leadership team in the National Capital Region,” said GSA Administrator Emily Murphy. “His extensive career in the public sector will be invaluable as we pursue efforts to reduce duplication, generate competition and increase agency transparency.”

Anderson has a long record of successfully leading property management and contract negotiation initiatives for higher education campuses and federal agencies. Most recently, Anderson served as the director of services delivery and property management for the George Washington University.  

Anderson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Adams State College in North Adams, MA, and a Master of Education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.
