Delegations of Authority Manual, Chapter 9, Office of GSA IT

1. Purpose

 This Order updates and revises Chapter 9, Part 1 of ADM  5450.39D, GSA Delegations of Authority Manual.

2. Cancellation

This Order cancels and supersedes ADM 5450.39D CHGE 22 dated  October 17, 2023.

3. Nature of Revision

This Order updates Chapter 9, Part 1 by adding 1.q to redelegate the authority from the Administrator to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) with option to re-delegate the authority to the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO), Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to waive the prohibition under 15 USC 278g-3e (a)(1) with respect to security of an Internet of Things device in accordance with 15 USC 278g-3e (b)(1).

4. Delegation of Authority

I hereby delegate the authorities contained in the  attached document to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and direct the attachment be included as Chapter 9, Parts 1 and 2, of the GSA Delegations of Authority Manual.
