Rates for foreign countries are set by the Department of State.
This Order issues and transmits General Services Administration (GSA) policy governing the use of telework.
Based on the provisions of the Presidential Memorandum, Return to In-Person Work dated January 22, 2025, and the OPM Return to Office Guidance Memorandum dated January 22, 2025, this policy provides guidelines for implementation of telework within GSA.
This Order applies to all GSA employees in the performance of their duties, except for the employees in the following independent offices within GSA:
This Order supersedes HRM 6040.1C, GSA Telework and Remote Work Policy, dated February 22, 2024.
This Order removes references to remote work and telework position categories. Routine telework and full-time telework can only be approved in limited circumstances outlined in this policy.
The Office of Human Resources (OHRM) is responsible for ensuring the order is carried out in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and bargaining obligations.
