You can get renovations, alterations, or overtime utilities for GSA managed space. Work with us to identify your needs and we will scope, estimate, and properly execute the project/service for you. Federal customers request projects or services above and beyond what is included in their rental agreement with GSA. Non-federal customers request services in GSA managed space for example events.
You submit a Work Request (WR) to identify a project or a service need. The WR becomes a Reimbursable Work Authorization (RWA) after adding final requirements and signatures of both parties. RWA is a formal agreement between you and us where we provide goods and/or services and you reimburse us for the indirect and direct costs.
How it works for federal customer
Federal agencies include all executive branch agencies and the judiciary who occupy GSA managed space. To complete this process, you will use an electronic tool called eRETA.
- Request an eRETA account
- Sign in to eRETA (extportal.pbs.gsa.gov) and send RWA Work Request identifying need for project/service
- Work with your assigned PM to develop requirements
- Enter required billing and accounting information into eRETA and send for potential acceptance
- Once RWA is signed by both parties, we execute work for you and you will receive bills for cost of services rendered plus applicable GSA fees
How it works for non-federal customer
Non-federal customers are private entities and state and local governments who need services in GSA managed space.
- Contact your Regional RWA Manager
- Expect to be routed to the appropriate PM and you will work with them to develop requirements for your project or requested service
- Once requirements are fully developed you’ll complete the RWA Form 2957 and send it to the same Regional RWA Manager
See our Contacts page for help with RWA policy, training, billing, or eRETA.
