The Thomas P. O’Neill, Jr. Federal Building, located in the West End, is comprised of an 11-story high-rise section and a five-story low-rise section connected by a five-story interior courtyard, covered by a continuous skylight. It was named after Thomas Phillip “Tip” O’Neill, Jr., a Representative from Massachusetts who was born in Cambridge.
