GSA Awards Design Contract for New Fort Fairfield Land Port of Entry
BOSTON, Today, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced the award of a $7.8 million architectural and engineering services contract for the Land Port of Entry Project at Fort Fairfield, Maine.
“Supporting small businesses is a key priority for GSA, and this project will help advance President Trump’s priorities to enhance border security and support economic growth,” said GSA Acting Administrator Michael Rigas.
This project will improve port operations and enhance safety and security for Federal inspection personnel and travelers. GSA’s goal for the project is to provide the necessary operational space, reduce traffic congestion and enhance safety conditions.
Construction is planned to begin in the winter of 2028, with the new port opening in the spring of 2030. The current port will remain open during construction.
