The GSA Missing Child Notice Program provides missing child notices and guidance on how to post them in GSA-controlled facilities.
Executive agencies must post missing children notices in public areas, per the Presidential Memorandum. Each month, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) provides information regarding missing children and notifications when a featured missing child is located. This information can be found directly on the NCMEC website or by scanning their geolocation QR code [PDF] that provides information for missing children within a 50 mile radius of where the QR code is accessed. Agencies should, at a minimum, post the QR code poster [PDF], and if desired, posters of missing children in accordance with the guidance.
Subscribe to the GSA Missing Child Notice Program monthly email list to get the latest notices for posting by contacting demetria.summers@gsa.gov.
Posting Guidance
Leased facilities under the jurisdiction, custody or control of GSA, are not part of the Memorandum; however, you may still post the QR code [PDF] if you wish.
- Ensure that the QR code poster [PDF] and any desired missing children posters are posted in public areas and offer maximum exposure to the public.
- Limit display to one location per building.
- Keep all hardcopy displays tasteful and modest in size out of respect for employees who may see the pictures repeatedly.
