GSA Region One has once again helped students at a local school by donating laptops through the Computers for Learning (CFL) program.

Clifford H. Marshall Elementary School in Quincy, Mass. was the recipient of more than 100 laptop computers. English language learner teacher Christina Gilman met with regional administrator Chris Averill and regional program coordinator David Feierabend to pick up the laptops.

"Computers for Learning is a win-win for the Federal government and, most importantly, the children who will directly benefit from use of this technology," said former Regional Administrator, Chris Averill. "GSA is pleased to be able to donate these laptops and related equipment to communities right here in our region as they constantly seek to improve educational opportunities for all students."

CFL is a program through which federal agencies can transfer excess computers and peripheral equipment directly to schools and educational nonprofit organizations to support education for children, pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

"I urge eligible schools and non-profits across New England to learn more about how Computers for Learning can make a difference in their classrooms, and I look forward to receiving updates from the teachers and students at the Clifford H. Marshall Elementary School in Quincy," former Regional Administrator Averill added.
