GSA announces public auction of Thomas J. McIntyre Federal Building in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
BOSTON – Starting today, the U.S. General Services Administration is conducting an online auction of 80 Daniel Street, formerly known as the Thomas J. McIntyre Federal Building, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire as part of its mission to deliver value and savings in real estate, acquisition, technology, and other mission support services across the government.
The site is listed on GSA’s real property website www.realestatesales.gov as 80 Daniel Street.

The McIntyre Federal Building:
- Constructed in 1966.
- Located on approximately 2.1 acres of land.

- Listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing building to the Downtown Portsmouth Historic District.

Auction Details
The auction is scheduled to open on TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. ET
Those interested in bidding are required to register in advance and submit a $1,000,000 registration deposit. The starting bid will be $5,000,000 and bid increments will be $50,000.
Potential bidders are invited, urged and cautioned to inspect the property prior to registering and submitting a bid. Inspection dates will be posted to the website and coordinated with the GSA Project Manager John Dugan.
