GSA to Host a Public Meeting on the Draft Environmental Assessment for the Land Port of Entry Project in Calais Ferry Point, Maine
BOSTON – Today, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced that it will host a public meeting on June 11, 2025, to review the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed expansion and modernization project of the Land Port of Entry at Calais Ferry Point, Maine.
This project will improve port operations and enhance safety and security for Federal inspection personnel and travelers. GSA’s goal for the project is to provide the necessary operational space, reduce traffic congestion and enhance safety conditions.
GSA has prepared a Draft EA to analyze potential impacts from the proposed expansion and modernization project at the port. During the public meeting, GSA will present an overview of the proposed project and seek comments on the Draft EA. GSA representatives will be available for one-on-one conversations following the comment period of the meeting.
The Draft EA is available on GSA’s website at http://gsa.gov/calaisferrypoint. A paper copy of the Draft EA is available for review at the Maine Indian Education Center at 39 Union Street in Calais, Maine.

Written comments regarding the Draft EA must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET on June 23, 2025, using one of the following methods:
