BOSTON – The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announces the public auction of a former Navy chapel and community center in Groton, Connecticut. GSA is selling the property on behalf of the U.S. Navy.
The online auction is part of GSA’s ongoing efforts to dispose of excess properties, saving taxpayer dollars and making more efficient use of the government’s real estate assets.

This former Navy property consists of:
● Approximately 12.9 +/- acres of land, of which 28,777 square feet is designated to the former Chapel and the Community Center.
● The property is located in a residential area at the Nautilus Park III, off Gungywamp Road.
● The address is 231 Gungywamp Road, Town of Groton, New London County, Conn. 06340.
● The former Chapel was constructed in 1966 and the Community Center in 1975.
● The two buildings share a driveway, a parking lot and are currently vacant.
● The condition of the property is not warranted.
