NCR Regional Administrator Speaks At December Bisnow Event In Washington, D.C.

On December 6, 2018, Scott Anderson, Regional Administrator for the National Capital Region, spoke at the December Bisnow event at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C. Anderson was part of a panel of local real estate experts to discuss major projects and their impact on the region.

Pete Rahn, Secretary for the Maryland Department of Transportation, opened the event with remarks on the development of the Metro’s purple line project. The purple line is only the second public/private partnership of this type in the country and will likely have a large impact on development in and around the D.C. area. Rahn’s presentation was followed by a discussion from an affordable housing panel regarding how developers are incorporating mixed properties into their current projects along the purple line.

Anderson was part of the final panel and  among speakers from JBG Smith, Perseus Realty, Baker Tilly and more. Their discussion focused on current and upcoming major projects from both the private and public sector. Anderson relayed to the crowd how important it is to stay connected with the real estate community and private partners.

Reflecting on the event, Anderson stated, “I was honored to have the opportunity of highlighting NCR’s leading projects before such an esteemed panel. Communicating with our stakeholders in this way demonstrates the tremendous value of NCR to the metropolitan area and to GSA. NCR is committed to being a community partner, and I look forward to more opportunities to highlight our successes.”
