Regional Administrator

Effective June 6, 2023, Denise Maes will serve as Regional Administrator for the Heartland Region. Maes brings over 20 years of legal experience. Prior to joining GSA, Denise served as the Public Policy Director at the ACLU of Colorado, where she was responsible for all legislative initiatives at the state and local levels. Maes also previously served as the Director of Administration, Office of the Vice President (OVP) for Vice President Joseph Biden and also served as General Counsel in the Executive Office of the President of the United States. Maes is a Board Member of the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Maes received her Bachelor's degree at the University of New Mexico and a Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
