GSA hosts virtual matchmaking event to benefit HUBZone and prime contractors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — HUBZone-certified small businesses and prime contractors in construction trades joined a virtual capability briefing GSA arranged to connect participants and exchange information.
Why it matters: Small business HUBZone contractors and prime contractors can work together through subcontracting and other partnerships to fulfill government needs. GSA, SBA and Missouri PTAC also briefed the attendees on available resources.
One family-owned, HUBZone business partner said GSA is probably their number one customer with contracts in Regions 3, 4, 6 and 7. “I appreciate everyone taking time out to help small businesses and HUBZones, so we can tell about our capabilities,” he said. “These are troubling times we’re trying to get through these days.”
The big picture: When HUBZone and other businesses get federal contracts, it generates employment and improves local economies throughout the country.
