Members of the Region 6 PBS leadership and client solutions teams hosted a virtual roundtable meeting with local customer agencies in Kansas City to discuss long-term impacts of COVID-19 and future of workplace strategies July 27.

Members of the Region 6 PBS leadership and client solutions teams recently met with local customer agencies in Kansas City to discuss long-term impacts of COVID-19 and future of workplace strategies.

The Regional Commissioner’s Customer Roundtable 2021 brought GSA together with a handful of customers to share experiences and ideas, look for opportunities to collaborate, and discuss the strategic future of federal real estate.

The intent of the meeting was to build and maintain customer relationships, and to gather intel as it relates to our customers beginning to reoccupy their own GSA-controlled space,” said Client Solutions Branch Chief Matt Helmering. “It also gave us the chance to showcase some of our Future of the Workplace offering and services that would be helpful to clients as they start to regather.”

In May GSA released a strategy book and hosted a webinar on The Future Workplace in a Post COVID19 World. This information and other helpful resources were part of the roundtable discussion.

This was a great opportunity to connect and collaborate and build partnerships, which is critical because a huge part of PBS’s mission is to help our customers deliver their missions through real estate solutions,” said PBS Regional Commissioner Kevin Rothmier. “Any time we can hear directly from our clients, it can help us deliver better customer service.”

The roundtable was one of Region 6’s key partnership meetings for the year. Agencies attending included the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Social Security Administration and the IRS.
