Where is your hometown?

Nebraska

What other federal government or military experience have you had and for how long?

I have been in contracting for 15 years, starting at the Department of Defense in Wichita, Kansas. Then I went to Dugway Proving Ground for 2 years, which was followed by a promotion to a contracting officer position with the Veteran’s Health Administration in Topeka, Kansas. After a couple years I took a quality assurance position at the Veteran Administration’s Network Contracting Office and was in that position for 8 years.

What is your alma mater, degree or special training?

B.A. in business management

How do you recharge your batteries outside of work?

I enjoy working out and doing a little running with some friends. Time with family and friends is very important in my life.

Tell us a little about yourself. Children? Pets? Married? Hobbies?

I have two grown daughters, and each of them has two daughters. I have a toy Aussie named Izzy, and it is just the two of us.

What is one of the items on your bucket list?

Hiking in different countries with a friend.

Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself?

In 2019 a friend and I hiked the coast of Spain for a total of 86 miles in 6 days.
