Shellie Gill is the new director of the PBS Region 6 Leasing Division. She replaces outgoing director Kelly Juarez, who plans to retire later this year.

Shellie brings significant expertise and strong leadership to the table,” said PBS Regional Commissioner Kevin Rothmier. “I know she will be an advocate for the division and add tremendous value to the Board of Directors.”

Gill has been in leasing her entire GSA career, spending time in both Region 6 and GSA’s national office. She first joined GSA as an intern and leasing specialist in 2003. In 2016 she was named PBS’s Lease Acquisition Officer and became branch chief of PBS’s project management group in 2019.

Shellie is decisive and comes to the table with solutions,” Rothmier said. “She has a deep work ethic, is willing to talk through issues, and finds a way to team with others across the organization.”

Q&A with Director Shellie Gill

What do you look forward to most about leading the division?

“The next several years will be a really exciting time to work for GSA as we shift to new workplace paradigms. What an opportunity to flex our real estate expertise! I’m really excited about Leasing’s role in shaping the Future of the Workplace, and what I predict will be even closer partnerships across business lines. For years I’ve worked with this team of smart, talented professionals, and I’m always impressed by their creative solutions. Not everyone spends their working day on such meaningful projects, surrounded by such a strong team. I’m very fortunate.”

How do you think your previous experience prepared you for the new role?

“Aside from my 18+ years in PBS Leasing, l regularly draw from my pre-GSA career. After graduating from Indiana University, I worked for several years in the health care sector. As a twenty-something I was responding (on behalf of my employer) to formal patient grievances as well as various state insurance commissioners. It felt like one high-stakes situation after another, but I credit that experience with improved communication skills and a lasting impression about the truly important things in life.”

Anything else you’d like to share?

“I’m in the office every few days and try to walk around to see folks. Don’t be surprised if I appear in your neighborhood or, better yet, come say hello! I’ve missed seeing everyone.”
