After being introduced and welcomed by TLC MatchPoint Senior Director Delia Martin and Dan Vargas, the webinar host, Strobel briefed the virtual audience on “Doing business with GSA.”

His discussion points included:

  • An overview of GSA.
  • Hot topics, particularly related to how GSA procured COVID-19 resources.
  • How to access federal contract opportunities.
  • Small business resources.

Following the presentation, Strobel answered questions from the audience and stressed the importance of getting started now if small business owners want to be a bigger part of contracting opportunities.

President Biden is looking to increase contracts with minority businesses by 50 percent,” he said in response to a question. “GSA schedule contracts have a total term of 20 years — a five-year base with three options — so you have the opportunity to capture some of that work.”

Strobel regularly provides briefings and presentations to small and minority businesses. He also hosts matchmaking events for all small businesses looking to land prime and subcontracts — including small, disadvantaged businesses and woman-owned small businesses.
