Giancarlo Brizzi serves as the Public Buildings Service (PBS) Regional Commissioner for the Greater Southwest Region. As the Regional Commissioner, Mr. Brizzi is responsible for several hundred federal personnel; a large annual operating, leasing and capital budget; and the operations, maintenance and repair of federal office space, United States courthouses, land ports of entry, state-of-the-art laboratories, and warehouses within the region.
Prior to joining PBS, Mr. Brizzi served as the Principal Deputy Associate Administrator in the Office of Government-wide Policy, where he led efforts to ensure that government-wide policies encourage agencies to develop and utilize the best, most cost effective management practices in the areas of acquisition, personal and real property, travel and transportation, evidence and evaluation, and information technology. While at GSA, he has also served as the GSA Acting Chief of Staff, the Acting Associate Administrator for Government-wide Policy and the Acting Chief Operating Officer for the Technology Transformation Service.
Before GSA, Mr. Brizzi worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he contributed in several different capacities with his last assignment as the Director of the Office of Financial Management for the Departmental Offices (Treasury Headquarters). In that role, he led a large office responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive program of budgetary policy, controls and oversight of financial resources in appropriated, non-appropriated and no-year funds.
Prior to government service, Mr. Brizzi worked as a management consultant, where he assisted a number of large federal agencies in improving financial management operations. He is a veteran of the Army National Guard as an infantry officer where he deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Mr. Brizzi has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).

When a military installation or Government - related facility(whether or not specifically named) is located partially within more than one city or county boundary, the applicable per diem rate for the entire installation or facility is the higher of the rates which apply to the cities and / or counties, even though part(s) of such activities may be located outside the defined per diem locality.
