Emily McBride Appointed GSA Special Assistant to the Administrator
Washington, D.C.—The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announces Emily McBride as Special Assistant to the Administrator. McBride, an appointee of President Donald J. Trump, will assist the chief of staff and the administrator in performance of their duties and serve as a critical part of the administrator’s team.
McBride comes to GSA from the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs under President Trump where she served as assistant to the cabinet secretary. Before that, she served in the U.S. Senate as an acting legislative assistant to then- Senator Jeff Sessions (AL). She advised the senator on legislative matters within the healthcare, education, labor, and pensions portfolios. She also coordinated congressional delegation efforts to address the concerns of constituent groups, and helped establish strategic relationships between federal and state agencies to ensure access to federal funding streams and grants.
McBride holds a bachelor of arts in political science, with a concentration in public law from Auburn University.
