For the 15th Year, GSA Earns Top Grade in Small Business

SBA scorecard highlights GSA’s strong performance and commitment to small business contracting

WASHINGTON — Today, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced it received an A+ on the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Small Business Procurement Scorecard for Fiscal Year 2024. This is the 15th year in a row that GSA has earned an “A” grade or higher.

SBA’s annual scorecard measures how successfully federal agencies reach their small business contracting and subcontracting goals. It also measures how successfully an agency commits to small business participation in federal contracting.

“This achievement reflects GSA’s strong commitment to small business success and the strength of our partnerships across the agency,” said GSA Acting Administrator Michael Rigas. “Small businesses are critical partners in delivering the best value to the government and the American people. Their innovation and agility help agencies meet mission needs while also strengthening the nation’s industrial base.”

During fiscal year 2024, GSA awarded more than $3.2 billion to small businesses. At the prime contract level, GSA also exceeded all of its small business and socioeconomic small business goals.

GSA supports small businesses through a range of programs and services designed to help them grow and compete. GSA fulfills this mission through initiatives such as:

  • Maximizing small business matchmaking sessions to connect prime contractors with potential small business subcontractors
  • Organizing nationwide training events to help small businesses navigate federal procurement
  • Implementing procurement policy and regulation that supports small business participation

GSA also offers a variety of tools available online including video resourcestraining opportunities and government contracting fact sheets.
