New locations for federal workforce credentialing now open in key areas

Collaboration between GSA, USPS results in five additional identity verification and onboarding locations at Florida, Georgia, and Texas post offices

WASHINGTON — Today the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and U.S. Postal Service (USPS) announced five newly opened USAccess Credentialing Post Office Sites in Florida, Georgia, and Texas. These locations were selected because they have a high demand for credentialing services, with existing sites booked three months out. These additional USPS sites will provide much needed relief for federal workers needing to enroll, receive, and update their security credentials.

“We are committed to enhancing our customer’s experience by providing easy and accessible services,” said Laura Stanton, GSA’s Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Information Technology Category. “These new sites build upon the success of locations in the Washington, D.C., area and Colleyville, Texas.”

“This expansion of USPS’s successful program supporting GSA USAccess is an excellent example of delivering government services in communities all around the country,” said Jeff Tackes, USPS Director of Digital Business Services. “By providing services supporting a broad range of government agencies, USPS increases access to government and promotes efficient delivery of services. This program aligns perfectly with the Postmaster General’s Delivering for America plan.”

The new expansion locations will provide an estimated initial 1,200 additional credentialing opportunities per month. This provides the federal workforce with more options to enroll, receive, and update their security credentials at a designated USPS location closer to where they live.

Additional expansion sites are targeted to open in other locations in the near future.
