Constructed in 1995, the Thomas D. Lambros Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse is named after Judge Thomas Demetrios Lambros, a pioneer in the alternative dispute resolution movement. The courthouse houses the U.S. District Court and is located at Market and Front streets, one block south of the Federal Plaza in the Youngstown central business district.

Parking options include a parking lot across Front Street on the site’s southeast corner and a multi-level parking deck one block north on Champion Street. Public transportation includes a Western Reserve Transit Authority bus stop, located two blocks north of the building on Market Street.
The concrete frame and panelized stone construction of the Lambros Courthouse emanates from contemporary 1990s architecture. This three-story courthouse reflects and complements the Mahoning County Courthouse, located to the west of the Lambros building. The building’s exterior was caulked and resealed in 2015.
