FAS R9 Assisted Acquisition Services host industry forum, launch new online Client Support Center
FAS R9’s Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) Division recently invited a large group of industry partners and colleagues to their inaugural virtual industry forum. The goal of the event was to promote their services, launch their new website, and to seek feedback from industry. R9 AAS Director B.J. Eldien and Deputy AAS Director Joel Fada provided an in-depth overview of their program and the improvements they’ve made over the last few years.
In addition to the program overview, they also launched their new digital presence on gsa.gov/r9. The new website was built to help bridge the gap between government and industry by providing transparent and equal access to contract opportunity data, as well as enhanced access to the AAS team for capability briefings.
“The team exceeded all my expectations developing an incredible new website and launching our new digital presence with the support from the Office of Strategic Communication,” said FAS R9 Regional Commissioner Casey Kelley. “We received rave reviews by the 100+ industry partners and 40+ internal GSA stakeholder attendees at the industry forum.”
The launch of the new website is just the first step in R9 AAS’ strategic plan. A second industry forum will be held in the coming months, where the team will share updates to the website based on feedback received from industry and the AAS Program Management Office (PMO). The ultimate goal will be to provide a consistent, improved customer experience across the client support centers, for both industry and GSA customers.
“I look forward to continuing strategic collaboration and to increasing transparency with the federal acquisition community to achieve positive outcomes, such as increasing effective competition and delivering best value, cost-effective, streamlined solutions to our customers,” said Kelley.
