Do agencies have to use the template memorandum of understanding? Are changes allowed?
Agencies are required to use the template memorandum of understanding. However, if there are specific additions both agencies feel are critical, we can discuss on a case-by-case basis. The memorandum of understanding template is currently under review. Once approved, it will be shared with agencies who have requested to participate.
How fast can space be secured?
Due to the high demand for space, we are working as quickly as possible to identify available seats nationwide. We appreciate your patience as we continue to build and expand our available inventory to meet agency needs. Once agencies agree and a match is in place, the process can take as little as 30 days to issue occupancy agreements and align with the next billing cycle.
Will furniture be provided?
This will vary. Some host agencies may have extra desks, offices, or perhaps only open space available. The goal is to maximize the use of existing space, which may require pivoting in traditional requirements.
Will Wi-Fi be available?
Public Wi-Fi may or may not be provided by the host agency. However, installing Wi-Fi should not be viewed as unachievable when evaluating space match options. We will work with both the host and tenant agency to identify the best solutions on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, GSA is actively working to provide high-speed internet solutions for shared spaces in the near future.
Can I bulk upload multiple requests at the same time?
Yes! The intake form now includes an Excel template that allows you to bulk upload multiple requests at once.
