Southeast Sunbelt Total Workplace

Does your agency want to save money, reduce office space, and explore increased mobility?

If so, GSA can help you leverage technology and adopt a flexible workplace. Research has shown that open work environments save agencies money, promote collaboration, and improve efficiency. GSA’s Total Workplace program can assist with all of that, plus improve productivity and support sustainability, as well. If you’re ready to integrate new workplace solutions at your agency, taking the first step is easy: Contact us and our team will start a conversation about the resources you need to plan, design, purchase, and implement your new workplace.

This is not an easy change to make. We know; we’ve lived it here at GSA, and we’re here to pass on what we’ve learned from adopting policies that address and maintain a people-based organizational culture to purchasing the tools you need to make the transition seamless. We transformed our workplace at our historic headquarters in Washington, DC, taking the opportunity to consolidate our central offices into a catalyst to something bigger and better: we have profoundly changed where and how we work, while saving the taxpayer money.

Moreover, GSA Region 4 in Atlanta has recently converted two floors of the Martin Luther King, Jr (MLK) Federal Building in Atlanta, GA into mobile workspaces with unique office furniture and space-saving layouts, and is in the process of implementing a more comprehensive space solution for our own space. If you’d like to tour the MLK mobile workspace, please do not hesitate to give our points of contact a call (at right).

In addition, the region opened its first Mobile work lab and Showroom in the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center. The work lab was designed to create a comfortable, open workspace that can serve as a mobile office and alternative place to telework. If you believe your agency would be interested in testing out a mobile workspace, make an appointment to tour or work from GSA’s showroom located at 2R87 Rich’s Building of the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center. The showroom gives interested agencies the ability to see an example of an open workspace and test the functionality on a temporary basis. Below are some pictures of the furniture that can be found in the mobile showroom. Call the Atlanta South Service Center at 404-562-0082 to make a reservation or schedule a viewing of this space!

Additional terms and conditions

Traveler reimbursement is based on the location of the work activities and not the accommodations, unless lodging is not available at the work activity, then the agency may authorize the rate where lodging is obtained.

Unless otherwise specified, the per diem locality is defined as "all locations within, or entirely surrounded by, the corporate limits of the key city, including independent entities located within those boundaries."

Per diem localities with county definitions shall include"all locations within, or entirely surrounded by, the corporate limits of the key city as well as the boundaries of the listed counties, including independent entities located within the boundaries of the key city and the listed counties (unless otherwise listed separately)."

When a military installation or Government - related facility(whether or not specifically named) is located partially within more than one city or county boundary, the applicable per diem rate for the entire installation or facility is the higher of the rates which apply to the cities and / or counties, even though part(s) of such activities may be located outside the defined per diem locality.
