The Abraham A. Ribicoff Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, located in downtown Hartford, Connecticut, is an eight-floor, low-rise building in the Modernism style. The courtrooms of the building flank the central courtyard. A granite foundation supports tan-colored brick walls with marble trim. The two-story entrance is flanked by contemporary marble columns. In 1980, the building was renamed after Abraham Alexander Ribicoff, a former representative, senator, and governor from Connecticut.
