Child Care Center
The Northeast and Caribbean Region serves over 765 children in ten child care centers throughout the Region. Centers are located in leased and federally owned space in New York, New Jersey and Puerto Rico. Those seeking child care services should contact the center they are interested in directly. Centers are not all managed by the same providers. Registration requirements may vary.
All centers are accredited or pursuing accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC accreditation ensures that the child care centers in GSA’s network meet the highest program and quality standards with regard to teacher/child ratios, staff qualifications, safety and health, and facility requirements. To further ensure the security and safety of the children and families served by these centers, all staff members employed in centers within the GSA network are required to undergo background security checks prior to employment.
Many families in the Northeast and Caribbean Region may be eligible for child care subsidies. For more information please contact the Regional Child Care Coordinator. See contact above right.
