- Leased commercially available satellite bandwidth.
- Shared or private satellite subscription/managed services.
- Satellite terminals, phones, modems, and related equipment and services.
Scope
Our solutions include transponded capacity and subscription services in any frequency band:
Transponded Capacity
Dedicated bandwidth on a commercial satellite, including:
- Engineering (development of link budgets, transmission plans)
- Basic customer training (acquiring satellite signal, peak and polarization)
- Core management and control of the transponded capacity
- Required approvals
Subscription Services
Commercial satellite services solutions, including:
- Worldwide satellite-based Internet, voice, data, and video services
- Network management, monitoring, engineering, integration, and operations required to deliver the services
- Fixed and/or mobile satellite services and service-enabling components such as terminals, teleports, and terrestrial interfaces
Generally, terminals and equipment are not included under COMSATCOM unless the equipment is included as part of the subscription services price (Host Nation Agreements separately priced when required). If you need equipment to ensure compatibility and connectivity with a contractor’s network, you can purchase new electronic equipment on MAS.

Buy through MAS
Multiple Award Schedule is open to federal, state, local, and tribal agencies. Some organizations may be eligible to use Cooperative Purchasing and Disaster Purchasing programs.
More than half of our industry partners are small businesses, and you can mandate or indicate a preference for small businesses and other set-asides.

Sell through MAS
Current contract holders can submit a modification to add the COMSATCOM SIN using the checklist below. It is intended to help you submit complete and accurate modification requests as required by the Solicitation, which contains the provisions and clauses referenced below.
Prepare for your modification request
Contact your contracting officer and review requirements before starting the modification process
- Contact your contracting officer to inform them of your intent to add COMSATCOM SIN 517410. Your contract will transfer to MAS Information Technology Category, Office of Acquisition Operations, Contract Division 4 upon approval.
- Review SCP-FSS-001 - Section II - Technical Proposal for detailed requirements.
- Verify whether each requirement applies to your specific modification request.
Gather required documentation
Prepare three categories of required documentation: Administrative Documents, Technical Documentation, and Pricing Documentation.
- Administrative Documents:
- Cover letter including MAS contract number and authorized signature
- Trade Agreements Act compliance statement
- Letter of Supply (if you’re not the manufacturer/supplier)
- Commercial agreements as applicable:
- Commercial Supplier Agreement
- End User License Agreement
