In accordance with OMB Guidance (OMB M-10-23), GSA utilizes certain third-party sites for the purpose of disseminating information and does not actively collect personally-identifiable information (PII) outside of what is captured on this page - or as described in GSA’s Privacy Impact Assessments. Any submission of PII to GSA, via sites such as those described in the Social Media PIA, is not

- stored.
- exported.
- otherwise handled by GSA.
Should an individual provide unsolicited PII, that information is stored on the site in question and is subject to that site’s privacy policy, not GSA’s. Only personnel in GSA’s Office of Strategic Communication have access to the flagship accounts of GSA and GSA personnel, who have access to other types of social media accounts. Before accessing these accounts, they are required to receive prior authorization. As per the GSA Social Media Policy.
