Historic and architectural features
Constructed in 1972, the two-story Beatty Courthouse is made of dark brown brick, gray-vein limestone trim, and fascia stone. The property is bordered by a two-foot retaining wall made of stone from the GM&O Railroad. In October 2002, the building was named in honor of U.S. District Court Judge William Louis Beatty.
