GSA Global Supply now offers a selection of IT essentials in the following product categories:
- Laptops and desktops.
- Rugged tablets.
- Single-function, multifunction and wide-format printers.
- Monitors and displays.
We’ve also begun planning to add 2-way radios (Motorola) in the coming months, so your choices will be even greater soon.
GSA, through our colleagues in the Office of Information Technology category, has for many years offered a wide array of hardware, software and consulting services. Our intent is not to duplicate that work, but instead, fill a niche that will enable federal customers to buy IT products via a simple requisition.
GSA Global Supply’s (GGS) Requisition Channel is a “Best in Class” or BIC vehicle, a safe, simple alternative for customers needing modest quantities of IT hardware and desiring to purchase those from a government source. All of the new products are visible and available to buy on either GSA Advantage, the GSA Global Supply, and Fedmall websites. Since GSA Advantage displays products from thousands of Multiple Award Schedule vendors, please look for the name “GSA Global Supply” as the relevant ‘contractor’ in your search results. You can search directly in the search box by entering the “Prefix+OEM Part Number” as shown on the dashboard.
To highlight the new IT products and make them easy to identify, we have created a new D2D dashboard (Data to Decisions) that lists all of the available items. The Dashboard is refreshed (hourly) and displays:
- Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) awarded Part Numbers (OEM CAGE).
- GSA prefix.
- OEM part number.
- “Searchable part number (Prefix+OEM PN)”.
- Product description.
- FOB destination.
- ARO.
- Max sell price.
Any federal employee with a CAC or PIV card can access the site and see the items in each category.
Note that a requisition is a transaction between two federal entities, GSA and your agency. One of the benefits of such transactions is that it allows customers to pay using either a Government Purchase Card (GPC) or its six character Activity Address Code (AAC or DoDAAC). Since GSA has already negotiated price and terms on all of its requisition items, there are no additional competition requirements to make a purchase. Be sure to check on your agency’s policies if there are any questions regarding requisitions, especially for IT.
Special Notice for GCSS Army Users: Before placing your order for any of the items listed, please ensure that you have completed the mandatory IT Approval System Waiver (ITAS), Statement of Non-Availability (SONA) and / or Information Technology Capability Requirement (CAPR) IAW AR 25-1 and 25-2.
Please note: All Desktop / Laptops are GSS (Government-Wide Strategic Solutions) for Desktops and Laptops and Rugged Tablets. The prices reflected on this dashboard are Max Price you would pay for “Configured Models” not base models. Additional Discounts are expected for larger orders (due to internal reverse auction amongst awardees).
For exact breakdown of the configurations, please email GSA at ithardware-req@gsa.gov. These configurations are “refreshed” every six to nine months based on industry updates and customer feedback. GSA would like to partner with any military or civilian Agency that requires special configurations that are not shown. This process is much faster than a full acquisition and geared towards Enterprise-level initiatives.
If you have any questions, please email GSA at ithardware-req@gsa.gov.
